How can I spot a good tattoo artist?
Good tattoos should have clean, even lines and smooth, solid colors. Always look at photographs of a tattoo artist's work before getting tattooed.
Will a tattooist work with me on a design?
Are artist will be happy to help with a design if you want them to. Do not be afraid to voice your ideas. However, you should listen to the artist's suggestions. This is what they do for a living and they should have a good idea of what works and what does not.
What if I don't like my tattoo after it is done?
Make sure everything is satisfactory Before you begin to ensure a statisfactory end result. Keep an open mind tattoo artists arenot copy machines and tattoos are a handmade product. A little artistic influence from your tattooist is a good thing.

Can you quote me a price over the phone or over email?
It usually is impossible for us to give an accurate quote without speaking to you directly and seeing the design, where you want your tattoo and how much time will be involved. You can send pictures, drawings, or links to images with the size and location of the desired tattoo to the artist for general ideas and quotes. For an accurate quote you still need to come into the shop.
I have an idea in my head. How do I get the idea tattooed on me?
Find a tattooist whose style you like. Talk to them about your idea and let them draw it for you or draw it yourself.
Can I request a custom design?
Absolutely most anything can be done. Please contact one of our artist.
How can I tell that the needles being used are new and clean?
Ask your tattooist to show you sterilization equipment. Watch them take your needles and tubes out of sterilization pouches with indicators on them. Watch them put together their machines. Do not assume anything when your health is on the line.
What's an autoclave and how is it used in tattooing?
An autoclave is a sterilizer which uses heat and pressure to kill any microbes and/or pathogens on equipment. If a tattoo shop does not have one leave.
How can I tell if a shop is clean?
Ask to see sterilization equipment. Make sure autoclave indicators on all bags have changed color to show sterilization. Never let an artist tattoo you with equipment they do not open in front of you. Ask questions.
What are the different styles of tattoos?
Tribal, Fineline, Portrait, Traditional, New school, etc. Do not feel restricted by styles. Do what you want and go to a artist who can do what you want.
How long can I expect the colors to last?
A long time if done correctly. If you follow our aftercare instructions and protect it from the sun, your tattoo will last a long time.
What are tattoo inks?
Most tattoo inks technically are not inks. They are composed of pigments that are suspended in a carrier solution. Today's pigments primarily are metal salts. However some pigments are plastics. Also some pigments are vegetable dyes. The pigment provides the color of the tattoo. The purpose of the carrier is to disinfect the pigment suspension, keep it evenly mixed, and provide for ease of application.
Are tattoos really safe?
Yes as long as you go to a reputable artist that is following all recommended safety precautions.
Is tanning and sunbathing alright with a tattoo?
After your tattoo is fully healed you may go in the sun. However tanning is hard on your tattoos. Ultraviolet rays can drain the life out of a tattoo. The more you tan, the more the ink fades and slowly goes from brilliant to boring.
Where should I get my tattoo?
It is all up to you. Just keep in mind what you do for work and the type of social circles you are in.
What tattoo should I get?
This is all a matter of personal taste. You can get whatever you want, and whatever your artist is willing to do. You can choose a picture off the wall or you can have them create a custom piece just for you. Your only limit is your own imagination.
Should I tip my tattoo artist?
To tip an artist shows that you thought the artwork you received was well worth what was charged and you were happy enough to add a little. A tip should be based on how much you can afford. Sometime just a Thank you makes our day!

Can I drink alcohol before or during my tattoo?
Performing tattooing on anyone impaired by drugs or alcohol is illegal. Drinking alcohol will also thin your blood. Causing you to bleed more during your tattoo, this will affect the quality of the finished tattoo.
How old must I be to receive a tattoo?
In the state of Texas you must be 18 years old to receive a tattoo. It is illegal to tattoo a minor with or without parental consent. Any one tattooing a minor is breaking the law.
Do you use new needles?
Yes we do. We will be more than happy to show you the new needle for your tattoo and all of our sterilization practices.
Does a tattoo hurt?
Yes but pain level is different with each person and procedure.
How much does a tattoo cost?
The minimum cost is $60.00; this is the cost for us to set up a sterile tattoo environment. The cost of a tattoo differs according to size, location and complexity. It is the decision of each artist to determine the price. For custom work we usually require a nonrefundable drawing deposit as well.
